What Do I Need To Know About CT Scan?
The use of a CT Scan is to create cross-sectional images of the body. These images help in providing more detailed information than normal X-ray images. A CT Scan helps in providing much detailed information that shows the soft tissue, bones, blood vessels and other parts of the body. The computerized tomography scan (CT or CAT scan) is used to visualize the shoulders, heart, abdomen, head, etc where you’re needed to lie in a tunnel-like machine while the inside of the machine rotates and takes series of X-rays from all angles. These pictures are then sent to a computer, where they’re combined to create images of slices, or cross-sections, of the body.
