Histopathology is the diagnosis and study of diseases of the tissues that involves examining tissues and cells under a microscope. The tissue diagnoses made by histopathologists enable clinicians to manage the patient’s care better.
We use advanced imaging techniques to obtain biopsy tissue from previously inaccessible sites like the pancreas or retroperitoneum. While the tissue is then processed overnight, before being examined under a microscope, the specimen can be examined immediately to derive a diagnosis in certain limited circumstances using special techniques.
